Ali Made Them All Bear Reverence To His Monumental Greatness

The great Muhammad Ali is only a mere mortal like the rest of us but how we must give thanks to Muhammad Ali for being around when he came into the boxing world. When Ali first came on the scene as a youth of 22 years old in 1964 to challenged Sonny Liston for the World Heavyweight Boxing Crown, most critics, both the television news media and the national tabloids had liken HIM to being a clown, a loud mouth brat and a nervous entity who could never beat Sonny Liston. On that night as Cassius Clay, made them all swallow their own saliva and bear reverence to his monumental greatness in the boxing ring. Since that time in the eyes of millions on all the continents of the world, Muhammad Ali has been immortalised forever as a living ledgend, all this came about by the energy expend and the implausible talent he took to the boxing ring, to the streets and villages around the world.

Ali Still Embodies the Best of Human Spirits

Muhammad Ali as a boxer had belongs to a special generation of history's great boxers, of which there were  several top line draws at the time, such as George Foreman, Ken Norton, Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, Zora Folly and Floyd Patterson to name a few. Notwithstanding the greatness of his peers, Muhammad Ali stood heads high at a distance as the greatest of them all along with his glowing radiance and charismatic wittiness. Muhammad Ali a man who spoke the truth that many others were afraid to say, challenged the authorities and won hands down. It will be many years before another like Muhammad Ali to grace our shores, but in saying that Muhammad Ali cannot be duplicated ever, he will leave a tough trail to follow when his time has come to say goodbye from this land. And today even though not as fluid as he once was as a young man Muhammad Ali still embodies the best of the human spirits with Self-belief, dignity, humour, self-pride and intelligence.

At his peak, Muhammad Ali carved out for himself an iconic figure to become the most recognizable personality on this planet, and despite a debilitating illness, has remains even to this day. Muhammad Ali has inspired many people in all parts of the world to stand by their principles and defend their basic rights. Can anyone ever forget the Thriller In Manila or The Rumble In The Jungle orchestrated by the Rope-A-Dope played by Muhammad Ali to mesmerised the opposing foe George Foreman in Zaire. Can you imagine how much greater he could have been if his boxing career was not curtailed by the US Officials and boxing authorities. They robbed him of his best years. To think what he could have achieved boxing wise after his forced lay-off Ali came back to beat Foreman, Frazier and almost everyone else, certainly defies belief. Muhammad Ali wasn't a saint to whiles of the flesh like any other mortal man, but he was one hell of a giant for both his own and future generations.

A Man With Great Courage and a Compelling Personality

For a mortal man to have touched the lives of so many, way beyond the world of boxing, is tribute enough to Muhammad Ali's extraordinary athleticism, his wonderful courage and his compelling personality. Is there another who can be called to sit on the throne of Muhammad Ali? Hey, do you remember Muhammad Ali's float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! What's my name. It must be a great feelings to be recognized as a great people's champion in and out of the ring, as well as a being a great athlete. A rare phenomenon indeed. Muhammad Ali was a great fighter, a much loved father, an inspired poet, and one of the largest figures of the 20th century going into this the 21st century, a natural born showman, most of all, he formed the biggest challenged to the racist status quo of American politics. The greatness of Muhammad Ali that was seen through of the world's eyes was not limited only the boxing ring, but in all effervescence of life itself. He was, and still is today, one of the greatest, and most loved human being to have ever been observed in this time.

The Man Who Defended His Principles and Won

There has never been any other sports personality that has been able to match, or even come closeto the way Muhammad Ali administered his stature to challenged imperialism, racism and all other forms of oppression. As Muhammad Ali approached his 60th birthday in the year of 2005, we ask that he will be around to see many more years. Live on brother that other generations to come can learn and admire the feats of the great Muhammad Ali, a man who stood up to the United Sates authorities to defend his principles and refused to fight in Vietnam.
